Mumbai pups need help NOW!

Remember cleo and max from this post?

one of them is dead.

rest in peace, caesar. i am so sorry.

and the rest are going to be turned out on the streets. and someone else says that they will be put to sleep because they are better off dead than left to survive on the streets.

to be honest, i dont know what's going on here. all i know is that the pups need a home. NOW.

this is EXACTLY why we should responsibly spay and neuter all animals. there are way too many animals left to die because there are too many of them and not enough humans to take care of them.

regardless, the urgent matter at hand right now is to find homes for these pups. if you are from mumbai(or anywhere else), please spread the word.

leave a comment or send mail to adoptstrays at gmail dot com if you would like to adopt one of these pups or if you need more info.

p.s. pictures from charu's orkut album here. these pups deserve a chance at life.

Puppies need good homes in Kolkata!

Forwarding a message I recd today. Please contact me: adoptstrays at gmail dot com or leave a comment if you are interested.

Hi,

I feed a number of stray dogs in our locality and have four cats in my house. My neighbours have recently started venting their ire on me and the dogs (sending anonymous letters, verbally abusing me and ultimately throwing out the six blind puppies from a safe shelter onto the main thoroughfare). I need at least four of the six puppies born to Elvis-Pelvis (the mother) adopted, preferably in pairs (as i cannot afford to feed so many dogs once they grow older) They are just a month old now and have started on solids. There are three girls and three boys. Please help. I am attaching some photos.

She needs your help!

This little lady fell from her fourth floor home and was paralysed. She made tremendous progress after surgery and can now stand and walk around. Dr Chandy at the Vet Hospital is quite happy with her recovery. She is a three year old Basset Hound, friendly and camera shy. Will try and get better pictures next time.
But she might not be around for long. Her owners feel that she should be euthanised as her gait is not proper.
If you think this is no reason why this valiant fighter should be punished for then please help us find her a home or a safe place for her to stay.

Nemo having a good time

Jumble, a kind -hearted black lab came to us about 2.5 years ago. He was too boisterous for his former owners. Today his only 'fault' is that he is black and scares the living daylights out of ignorant people who assume he is ferocious. Here he is seen resting prior to be being attacked by Nemo.
Rani was abandoned at CUPA two years ago. I thought I would be tending to her for a few days before a definite passing on to the Rainbow Bridge as she was very very ill and weak. She bounced back and is doing very well. A lovely lady who needs help to walk about but maintains her pride and independence. Tolerates the little pest Nemo.
Nemo is presently creating major chaos at his home. He is the smallest and youngest but is top dog. He prefers parathas, papads and, in general, food. He is forever fighting with Jumble who returns the favour very affectionately like a big brother. Here you see Nemo attacking Jumble ruthlessly.
Here, Jumble has been toppled and Nemo has won a glorious victory.

And here he poses for the media.
